FIJET Academy, 3rd Day! Trip to Rimetea village, situated at 56 km from Alba Iulia. In 1999, Rimetea received the Europa Nostra award for conservation of the cultural and architectonic heritage. This was for the first time when a rural settlement has ever received this award. We found white houses with green window frames, a blend of Hungarian and Austrian architectural elements. We walked on the narrowest street in the village. After we tested traditional Hungarian dishes, we visited Jidvei Castle, where we tested wines from the vineyard of the same name.
